Elements Around Us 10/11/12

 First, finish your exit for this unit ---  What did you find surprising about the elements that are in our world? Think about the element cards you created and the circle graphs you drew…. 3 to 5 sentences. You must show this to Ms Hess before moving on to poster project. I: Exit

 Today we will be making a poster that creates a visual display identifying common elements in each of the 4 categories:  Earths’ Crust  Atmosphere  Oceans  Living Bodies II: Poster Project

II: On Your Poster – sketch first!!! Make a visual display that divides your poster into 4 categories and includes : The definition for element and compound in the middle of the paper Appropriate labels for each of the 4 categories Each element listed by name and chemical symbol appropriately in each category Appropriate decoration in each category box

Earth’s Crust Atmosphere Ocean Water Living Bodies Don’t forget to decorate each box appropriately! Don’t forget to list each element and chemical symbol along with its percentage in each box appropriately Elements Around Us by Insert First & Last Name Elements – (insert definition) Compounds – (insert definition) Divide your poster into 4 categories and includes : The definition for element and compound in the middle of the paper Appropriate labels for each of the 4 categories Each element listed by name and chemical symbol appropriately in each category (see the next slide). Appropriate decoration in each category box

 Earths’ Crust  Oxygen  Silicon  Aluminum  Iron  Calcium II: On Your Poster ….  Atmosphere  Oxygen  Nitrogen  Ocean Water  Oxygen  Hydrogen  Chlorine  Sodium  Living Things  Oxygen  Carbon  Hydrogen  Nitrogen  Calcium  Phosphorus
