Temptation is Personal vs. 14a 14 but each one is tempted

Temptation Follows a Process vss It begins with Desire It leads to Deception It results in Disobedience It ends in Death

It Begins with Desire vs. 14b when, by his own evil desire,

It Leads to Deception vs. 14c he is dragged away and enticed.

It Results in Disobedience vs. 15a 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin;

It Ends in Death vs. 15b and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Psalm 51:12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation Psalm 32 3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.

Temptation Can Be Overcome vss Don’t Be Deceived vs Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers.

Revel in the Goodness of God vs Every good and perfect gift is from above,

Revel in the Goodness of God vs Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Revel in the Goodness of God vs. 17 Coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Revel in the Grace of God vs He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, 2 Corinthians 5:17 if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! Romans 6:11 …count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Revel in the Grace of God vs. 18 that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
