PORTRAIT This photo represents portrait photography because the man is the central focus of the image, and there is basically nothing else of relevance in this picture except the man’s face.

PORTRAIT This picture is a portrait because it focuses on the women as the main point of the image, and the photo is overall very simple to draw attention to her face.

LANDSCAPE This image is an example of landscape photography because it shows cherry blossoms as the focus of the picture, with a pond and a temple in the background. Overall, this photo shows an interesting setting that have a primary nature theme.

LANDSCAPE This photo represents landscape photography because it show a wide setting with nature as the image’s focus, and brings a viewer’s attention to the flowers and mountains in the picture.

SURREAL This image is an example of surreal/composite photography because clearly this would never actually happen, but this image provides a vivid concept with the bulb acting as an island and the two prehistoric creatures swimming around the bottom of the bulb.

SURREAL This is a surreal/composite photograph because it is an obviously implausible image in that the bunny head is replacing the head of an otherwise average girl. It is a haunting image, and has a very impactful effect on the spectator.

COMMERCIAL This picture is an example of commercial photography because it is a wedding photo, which is a sub- genre of commercial photography, and the newly weds are the subject of the image.

COMMERCIAL This is a fashion photo, which is another sub- genre of commercial photography, and this is a photograph for a series of Chanel advertisements, and the model and the clothes draw in the attention of a viewer.

DOCUMENTARY This image shows documentary photography because it shows a bird that has been heavily affected by an oil spill in California, and thus is a record of an event that actually happened.

DOCUMENTARY This picture is documentation of the SCOTUS decision on June 26 th, 2015 that legalized same-sex marriage in all 50 states, and this image depicts a couple overwhelmed with joy on this historical day.

STREET This image represents street photography because it shows an unplanned image of some graffiti in a skatepark.

STREET This is a representation of street photography because this was an in- the-moment photo of a women with an umbrella walking down the street on a rainy day, and shows a dynamic focus on the women and her umbrella in black and white.
