Devon Explorers International Trip Finland 2016

7 th International Finnjamboree Evo Campsite, near Hämeenlinna in Southern Finland Campsite is in a pine & spruce forest surrounded by beautiful lakes

The Jamboree camp starts on Wednesday 20th July and ends on Friday 28 th July We plan to fly from Heathrow into Helsinki on Tuesday 19 th July and use camp transport to travel 1.5 hours by road to the jamboree. Post jamboree we plan to visit some more of Finland before flying home to Heathrow on Tuesday 2 nd August 2016.

Jamboree Information: 15,000 participants will be divided into 6 sub-camps. Accommodated with a Finnish group to encourage International links. The camp will be run in three languages: English, Finnish & Swedish 3 programs running during Jamboree for: Trackers (12-15yrs), Explorers (15-17yrs) and Rovers (18-22yrs). The events will take place in “valleys” in the woods surrounding the campsite plus plenty of water activities and activities for the whole camp such as the opening and closing ceremonies and of course ……..

What do you need to do now? Fill in the registration form and secure your place with a £250 non-refundable deposit. Attend training camps to be held before we travel to Finland, first will be in January in Torquay. Fundraise your jamboree fee, approximate cost is £1000 including camps, flights, food (but not spending money!).
