♥ Famous Amos Cookies ♥ Allison Snell & Nicole Winter

The man who created these wonderful cookies, is Wally Amos. He was born on July 1,1936 in Tallahassee, Florida. An American actor, and writer.

He started by sending home baked chocolate chip cookies to celebrities to persuade them to meet him and then sign a deal to be represented by the William Morris Company.

He opened his first cookie store in Los Angeles on March 10, 1975 and it was called Famous Amos His first year in business he sold $300,000 and the second year over $1,000,000. He eventually started selling his cookies in supermarkets.

The type of business organization the business started out as was Sole Proprietorship. He started this way because he wanted to make a family company and not spend a lot of money to make it. it is clear in the amount of profit he made in his first two years of how successful it was.

There are four different type of cookies that they make. they include, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Chip Pecans Cookies, Sandwich Cookies Chocolate, Sandwich Cookies Vanilla. There is no health benefits for eating these cookies. only the satisfaction of their taste.

Since Famous Amos started it has only grown bigger. It started as one cookie store in Los Angeles and grew from there. After a couple years of that it moved to be sold in a couple supermarkets, TGI Fridays, Starbucks, and Baskin Robbins.

The company has been owned by a couple different owners since it started. It started by being owned by The Shansby Group, then the President Baking Company bought it. from there, Keebler Foods owned it. in 2001, its current owner, Kellogg, bought it.

Famous Amos Cookies is now a Corporation. They were bought out by The Keebler Cookie company. It is a private corporation.
