Gerunds & Infinitives Verbs of perception + gerunds: I saw my friend running down the street = I saw my friend while she was running down the street. 4 Verbs of perception + the simple form: I saw my friend run down the street. 4 Causative Verbs: Make + the simple form -- > Mrs. Lee made her son clean his room.
