Candidacy of ELARD presidency Estonian LAGs Kristiina Timmo

Opportunities for Estonia Possibility to make Leader/CLLD stronger and bring international attention To share our best practices all over Europe, promote Estonian Leader To increase the amount of transnational cooperation projects Possibility to represent ELARD in different European Commission working groups, also arise Estonian issues To set priorities and focuses in ELARD agenda during the presidency

Responsibilities To contribute ELARDs mission and purposes To strenghten Leader approach all over Europe, outside Europe, extending ELARD’s membership To increase cooperation with other EU level rural development organizations Multi-funded approach – encouraging and sharing best practice EIP – innovation in rural development

Responsibilities To find additional budget, minimum euros for dissemination activities (conference, seminars, meetings), promotion and travelling costs Sources that we have discussed: International co-operation project, Estonian Leader Union application LAGs administrative budget In cooperation with NRN, Ministry and Paying Agency To invest time – we are all in the same boat and going to the same destination – better rural development, making things better

What kind of good practices we have in Estonia to offer to Europe? Which are our biggest challenges we would like to get some support from other MS? What kind of focuses (agenda) we could take at international level? Open discussion
