WHAT IS THE SONG OF YOUR SOUL?

MARY’S AWE OF GOD’S GREATNESS AND COMPASSION 46 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48 for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; 49 for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.

MARY’S WONDER OF GOD’S POWER AND MERCY 50 And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. 51 He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts; 52 he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate; 53 he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.

MARY’S HOPE OF GOD’S PROMISE 54 He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, 55 as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspring forever.”

GOD’S PROMISE TO ABRAHAM

11 But the angel of the L ORD called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 12 He said, "Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called the name of that place, “The L ORD will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the L ORD it shall be provided.”

GOD’S PROMISE TO ABRAHAM 15 And the angel of the L ORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven 16 and said, “By myself I have sworn, declares the L ORD, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies, 18 and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.”

RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH 13 For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith. Romans 4:13

THE KEY INGREDIENTS FOR THE SOUL: FAITH, HOPE, LOVE And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
