IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 IUCN DIRECTOR PRESENTS IUCN'S VISION FOR THE UNION AND THE CENTRAL AND WEST AFRICA  At the opening of the second day of the 2015 IUCN Regional conference, the IUCN Director general, Inger Andersen, present IUCN's vision for the Union and the Central and West Africa, and a brief introduction on projects financing. The Director general explained that IUCN has a rich heritage on conservation and faces many challenges due to climate degradation. As such, IUCN most have a bigger influence. IUCN works to achieve these goals and look for financing.  The organization increases membership both government and civil society, and encourages science and technology. Most importantly, she lay emphasize in communication which has to be enhanced to make the organisation’s voice head and ensure more visibility of the organisations work. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 IUCN DIRECTOR GENERAL INTERVENTION ON FINANCIAL FUNDING FOR PROJECTS  Inger Andersen followed by sharing informations on french and IUCN Partnership. In terms of opportunities for financing funding, there is two interventions from Oped of Cameroon and CSE of Senegal who have recently been accredited to the Green Climate Fund. The Director gave a brief presentation of the Green Climate Fund. This program has nearly 30 member donors amongst which France, United Kingdoms, etc.  The IUCN Director general expressed the need for IUCN to ask for accreditation for this funding. The management of the fund is confided by the World Bank. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 REMARKS ON GREEN CLIMATE FUND  The access to the Green Climate Fund has been explained to participants. It is based on a process of accreditation that members most present; this include proof of good administrative and financial management, transparency and “imputabilité”, projet management abilities amongst other eligiblity conditions. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 BESIDE THE EVENT : CECOSDA SHARES IT EXPERIENCE WITH RADIO ENVIRONNEMENT Beside the event, CECOSDA renewed his collaboration with other national NGOS. Mabel Tsanga, the head of CECOSDA’s team had an interview with Mr Eugene Messina of Radio Environment. The discussion involved the vision, the mission, the activities of CECOSDA and its missions.
