HOLY COW!!! The Economic Impact of Cattle in Washington State

Cows and Economy  Washington is 29 th in the nation for cattle production  Cattle and calves are the second largest producer of livestock in monetary value  All livestock is about 24% of all farm production value .2% of WA economy is made from money off of cattle, or $476,099,000

Cattle’s Role and How WE Benefit  Many occupations available from cattle - Farming - Dairy work - Cattle herding in some parts of WA - Butchering - Etcetera...  So much Cattle causes there to be more farms - Beauty - Olden day effect - People like those two reasons and causes them to move here!

Cattle: Food or Friends?  It’s good for us! –Protein with 9 amino acids –Iron –Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) B2 (Riboflavin) B3 (Niacin) –Zinc Beef Benefits:  It tastes good!  Supports beef farmers

CATTLE ROCK!  Overall, Cattle has a huge effect on Washington State.  Think about it: No cattle, NO ICE CREAM!!! or other dairy products. No beef either!  Cattle was more popular in 1990’s but is beginning to “come back.”
