3 Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) ● Established by Congress in FY 1991  DoD, DOE, and EPA partnership ● SERDP is a requirements driven program that:  Identifies high-priority environmental science and technology investment opportunities that address DoD requirements - Advanced technology development to address near term needs - Fundamental research to impact real world environmental management

9 SERDP Solicitations ● CORE Statements of Need: 14 SONs  Multiple awards per SON  Multi-year Proposals & Limited Scope Proposals  Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) - Universities, Industry and non-governmental organizations - Pre-proposal required  Federal Call - fixed number of multi-year proposal per agency –No restriction on limited scope proposals ● SEED Statements of Need: 3 SEED SONs  $150K or less and approximately 1 year  Seeks innovative high risk and high payoff work  BAA and Federal Call
