Material : An adsorption column is made from stainless steel; A cylindrical shell is installed around the adsorption column; The outlet HF concentration is measured by a UV-IR analyzer; 101-L capsule-Pure and vapor-free HF and N 2 Nitrogen gas as inert; Sodium fluoride pellets;

Tips : A constant flow rate; Water pass through the shell; The outlet concentration recorded continuously; Until the bed completely saturated; The inlet concentration of HF:2~15mol%; The experiments conducted at 22 and 54 ℃.

Table 1 Experimental conditions and results for column test runs.

Fig. 2. Hydrogen fluoride isotherms on sodium fluoride at 22 and 54 ℃

Fig. 3. Breakthrough curve of hydrogen fluoride adsorption on sodium fluoride.

Fig. 4. Effect of temperature on the breakthrough curves of HF adsorption on NaF pellets.

The breakthrough curves of HF adsorption on NaF pellets for different inlet concentrations.

Reference 3: Afzal. S. & Rahimi. A. (2010). Modeling hydrogen fluoride adsorption by sodium fluoride. Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry. 16, While the feed gas velocity decreases, the HF adsorption capacity on NaF is significantly enhanced and there is a delay in breakthrough time. The adsorption capacity of HF on NaF decreases slightly when inlet HF concentration increases.

Thank you!
