Why do birds chirp? By Madison Pry

Long ago came a small bird. Bird is very shy and likes to eat lots and lots of worms. He is also very independent.

Bird lives in a dark forest with no light. Other birds live there to. Some birds like it there, but many don’t because there is no singing or cheerfulness in the forest. Only the coyotes howling and the owls hooting but no birds chirping.

Everyday Bird asks himself “why why do birds not chirp in the forest.”

The next day birds question was still remaining with no answer.

A few hours later, all of the birds in the deep dark forest gathered round. They said “maybe the birds aren't chirping because there is no light in the forest.”

So then the birds started to think a little. They thought that maybe they should start signing and then maybe the sun will come and give the forest light.

So then Bird gathered every single little bird to sing in the forest so there will have light.

After he got all the birds together, they all started singing and chirping and soon enough sun came up to give the forest light. So now to this day if a bird sees the sun come up in the morning, it will sing and chirp all day. And that is the story of why birds chirp.
