Perhaps you have seen the repetitive appearance of Converse’s Chuck Taylors in the film “I, Robot” and have noticed the frequent display of luxury car brands (Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, and the like) in James Bond movies. Actually, the incorporation of certain products in these cases is in itself a form of advertising, though an obscure and subtle one. Covert advertising or guerrilla advertising is the act of embedding a brand or product in entertainment and media. Manufacturers partner with film producers and directors in order for their brand names to be shown on screen.
