IMPORTANT!  Before you make any hyperlinks or action buttons, you should create the slide that you want to link to and give it a heading or title!!!

How to hyperlink any object..  You can hyperlink text, a picture, or an autoshape by… 1. Highlighting the object with the mouse (a line of text needs to be completed highlighted) 2. Right click 3. Choose “hyperlink” 4. On the left side of the box that opens, click on “place in this document” 5. Choose the slide that you want the hyperlink to go to and click “ok” 6. To check that the hyperlink is working, start the slideshow and click on the underlined text ** If you ever need to change which slide the object is hyperlinked to, select the object with your mouse, right click, and choose “edit hyperlink”

How to Insert an Action Button… 1. Go to “insert” tab 2. Choose “shapes” 3. The action buttons are at the very bottom – click on the button you want 4. Left click and drag the mouse to make the shape as big as you want 5. A dialog box called “action settings” will pop up and “Hyperlink to” will already be selected 6. Use the drop-down menu to select which slide you want the button to go with 7. Start the slideshow to check that the button is working ** If you ever need to change which slide the object is hyperlinked to, select the object with your mouse, right click, and choose “edit hyperlink”

How to Change the Color scheme of the hyperlink text: 1. Click on the “design” tab at the top 2. Click on the drop-down arrow next to “colors” 3. Choose “Create new theme colors” 4. The bottom two categories will allow you to change what color your hyperlinked text is before and after it is clicked **You only have to do this is the background color of your slide design is the same color as your hyperlink color!
