When we have only one thing (or one noun). What is singular? When we have only one thing (or one noun). One banana. A teacher. A dog. An elephant.

When we have more than one thing (or one noun). What is plural? When we have more than one thing (or one noun). Two bananas. Three teachers. Four dogs.
