B ULLYING SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS By: Kierstin Ladd

B ULLYING IS NEVER OKAY. Victims Vs. Bully The effects of being bullied

S PECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS THAT YOU CAN SEE THE DISABILITIES ARE VICTIMS. Cerebral palsy is “a form of paralysis believed to be caused by a prenatal brain defect or by brain injury during birth, most marked in certain motor areas and characterized by difficulty in control of the voluntary muscles.”

S PECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS THAT YOU CAN SEE THE DISABILITIES ARE VICTIMS ( CONT ) Spina bifida is “a congenital neural tube defect in which part of the meninges or spinal cord protrudes through the spinal column, often resulting in neurological impairment.”

S PECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS BEING THE BULLY. Impulsivity and a lower tolerance for frustration and peer relationships are often extremely difficult and complex for children causing them to bullies.

T HE EFFECTS OF BULLYING Mental effects- These occur when a bully ruin the self esteem and reputation of their victims. From embarrassing them in front of their peers, to teasing them endlessly about their looks, a bully can take away any sense of confidence that a child has and replace it with self hatred.

T HE EFFECTS OF BULLYING ( CONT ) Physical- Children who have been physically bullied may find it hard to trust and interact with others, and the embarrassment of being beaten in front of their peers may lead them further into the depths of depression and fear
