GLAST Large Area Telescope – ISOC Overview and StatusDOE Annual Review, 13 June LAT ISOC Activities LAT ISOC Activities The LAT ISOC is organized to: –Operate the instrument, in conjunction with other GLAST ground elements –Generate reconstructed LAT events and automated science products Main Functions: –LAT command planning and construction –Instrument health and safety monitoring –Maintain and modify LAT FSW and the LAT Testbed –LAT calibration, performance verification and optimization –Process and archive LAT data –Maintain and optimize the software that produces science data Incorporates online and offline operations activities for the LAT –Extends existing pre-launch activities into on-orbit operations Supports the LAT collaboration

GLAST Large Area Telescope – ISOC Overview and StatusDOE Annual Review, 13 June Flight Operations: Preparing for On-Orbit Operations Real-time commanding of the LAT through the MOC uses scripted PROCs All LAT commands in the T&C database delivered to the MOC are included in Narrative Procedures (NPs) All procedures to be exercised during GLAST End-to-End tests –Development schedule is tied to ETE schedule Separate procedures for activities in GLAST Launch and Early Orbit period (L&EO) Contingency procedures included PROCs are verified against LAT testbed before use with GLAST
