Ruth Paz

History...  Ruth Paz was born in Detroit, Michigan and dedicated her life to helping those in need of medical assistance.  She was known as “The Guardian Angel” of the poor children of Honduras. During 30 years of her life, she personally took children to the United States to be medically treated, hence offering them an opportunity for a healthy life which otherwise, they would have never had.  Today, Ruth’s work is continued by her daughter and son and a group of dedicated volunteers. The Foundation has grown to a versatile organization.

Special Cases  Ruth Paz began taking children with special medical needs to the United States. Presently the Foundation continues sending the following cases: 1. Heart Surgery 2. Burn 3. Congenital anomalies 4. Severe orthopedic cases 5. Endocrinology 6. Maxillofacial 7. Reconstructive Surgery 8. And others

The RUTH PAZ HOSPITAL FOR BURN CHILDREN FOR BURN CHILDREN ( Under construction)

Objectives  Provide care for 90% of burned children in the country.  Provide physical rehabilitation through compressive therapy, early splints and physical therapy, all of which will prevent 80% of future surgeries and malformations.  Provide psychological support in the recovery process to patients and their families.  Provide children with a balanced diet that is specifically designed for burn victims.  Head a national campaign for burn prevention, with the participation of local Fire Departments, private and public schools and private enterprises.
