TechnologyTechnology ICT at UPI uses wire line, wireless, VDSL (Very-high Data-rate Digital Subscriber Line) technology and VPN IP MPLS (Virtual Private Network IP Multi Protocol Label Switching). IntranetIntranet Faculty offices, institutes, bureaus, the main library, regional campuses, and supporting units connected by Fiber Optic Cable, Wireless 2.4, and VDSL. WANWAN The 5 regional campuses in West Java coverage are connected through the VPN IP MPLS InternetInternet internet at UPI uses the bandwidth of 8 Mbps symmetric upstream and downstream. System was developed to access internet and to develop data base at a certain unit (Puskom and UPInet) The process was supported by a simple computer system up to 2000 Integrated information system, data communication system, decision making support system, executive information system, distance learning, video conference, video editing, multimedia in education The development of an integrated WAN infrastructure and Information System Master Plan between the Central and Local Campus by cooperation with corporate ACS system, safety system, WEB base system, e-learning system, teleconference, academic information system, finance, integrated general administration Benefits of LAN and WAN infrastructure to improve management, teaching and learning process, data communication and commercialization 2001 to to to 2010 The process of developing SIM independently using limited internal human resources The development of LAN infrastructure and system application independently at the Central Campus
