Cub Scouts Responsibilities of THE Primary President

Purpose of Scouting in Primary Through Coordination of the Faith in God program: Prepares boys to keep baptismal covenants Provide service to his family Prepare to receive the priesthood Provide leadership opportunity Develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship

Primary Presidency Member should: Register with BSA and become trained Encourage leaders to attend scout training Visit scout meetings and activities Review each boy’s progress on a regular basis Help plan day camps and ensure each boy’s participation

The Four Ts – Elder Vaughn J. Featherstone Testimony Trained Not only with church but with BSA district and council Time Need to have time to be a leader of boys Tenure Be willing to stay with scouting

Parental Responsibilities: Parent involvement – key element to success of program Provide logistical support Get the family involved with Cub Scouting

Keys for Successful Ward Cub Scout Program Call a Complete Staff of Adult Cub Scout Leaders. Register Cub Scout Adult Leaders and Cub Scout Boys Immediately. Get your Adult Cub Scout Leaders Trained Immediately. Leaders Wear the Uniform and Set the Example; Boys Wear Uniform. Conduct ‘Theme’ Den Meetings and Pack Meetings.
