Accountable Officer and Lead Clinician Dr Annet Gamell Clinical Locality Lead Dr Peter Newman What do the reforms mean for GPs?

Accountable Officer and Lead Clinician Dr Annet Gamell Clinical Locality Lead Dr Peter Newman What does this mean? The unit for commissioning will be the GP Practice with its registered population. Clinicians working with managers will take responsibility for commissioning. To do this every GP Practice has to become a member of a Clinical Commissioning Group. Clinical Commissioning Groups are new bodies being set up and will become statutory NHS bodies following a process of authorisation in April They will be working closely with patient and Local Authorities.
