Outline BOFs WG creation, termination, re-chartering news Other WG news Area document status IAB workshop

BOFs at IETF-66 None! But we have some shared interest in the HOKEY BOF (Thursday ) And the NEA BOF (Tuesday ) LIES/TERNLI BOF did not happen There was one declined BOF on anycast -- discussion of new anycast work in the O&M open area meeting

WG Creation and Termination Created: ANCP (Access Node Configuration) –Approved in June Created: 16NG (IP over ) –Approved in June –Has a tight schedule to meet deadlines in other SDOs, and a technically challenging topic –Help appreciated here Terminated: IPOIB (IP over InfiniBand) –Finished its main task –Some MIBs remained, but there was little progress

WG Re-chartering MIPSHOP –Re-chartered after they had completed all their original work MIP4 –Being re-chartered to add dual-stack operation MIP6 –Being re-chartered to take into account progress and to align current interests and the charter NEMO, SHIM6 –Will undergo re-chartering probably before IETF-67

WG Re-chartering (Cont’d) HIP –The WG has finished all deliverables in its current charter, is re-chartering for a handful of new items, and will likely close thereafter. IRTF HIP WG remains. 6LOWPAN –Itching to work on new items outside its current charter, but needs to finish its (2) current deliverables before moving forward. IPODVB –Working on L2-security mechanisms that need to be revisited based on current charter.

Other WG News PWE3/L3VPN –MPLS as a “Service” running CE to CE or as a “Generic Pseudowire” PANA –Less is more NETLMM –First solution draft published by the design team –Will have an Interim meeting in September
