Left Egyptian bondage Marched in desert for 40 years Promised a land flowing with milk and honey Joshua led across Jordan River They need to take the Land
How can they do it? They needed: God to deliver them To follow his instructions Jericho was a test case
I. Jericho is the First Battle The enemy is Afraid The enemy is Afraid – Jos. 6:1 Christians should never fear the enemy of the Lord Smallest Christian should never be afraid of the largest sinner 1 John 5:4
I. Jericho is the First Battle Jericho is the first city to be taken Christians have their first battle Jas. 1:2 Luke 17:1 “…it is impossible but that occasions of stumbling should come.”
II. God Gave Jericho before It was taken Joshua 1:11 & 6:2 Many blessings given to Us We must possess them PrayerPeace Eternal Life

III. Jericho became a Walk of Faith Commands to be obeyed Joshua 6:3-11 Order of procession 1 time for 6 days 7 times on 7 th day Blow their trumpets
They obeyed every Command of God
They took the city of Jericho
God has always demanded obedience Naaman – II Kings 5 Saul failed to obey – 1 Sam. 15 Nadab & Abihu – Offered Strange fire – Lev. 10 Some offer strange Music Some have a strange Baptism
“By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.” Heb. 11:30 “Keep on keeping On”
