Happy Wednesday! BELL Work (5 min.) 1.Write down HW in planner. 2.Open your new notebook and set up your new table of contents Then, skip 2 pages and answer the “IN” question below at the top of page 4: Write down a specific goal that you can accomplish by the end of this nine weeks and explain how you can accomplish it.

Set a specific goal for this nine weeks and reflect on last semester. Communicate knowledge learned from research about space technology project to peers. Level 4 I CAN research Space technology and explain its impact on society. Level 3 I CAN Identify and compare characteristics of the electromagnetic spectrum such as wavelength, frequency, use, and hazards and recognize its application to an understanding of planetary images and satellite photographs. Level 2 I CAN Explain the difference between wavelength and frequency in the Electromagnetic spectrum and how we use it to study space. Level 1 With help I can describe how waves are electromagnetic waves are different from one another.

Presentations! Quick Expectations  Thank you for the hard work you put in to creating your presentations!  Remember to listen carefully and avoid side conversations during presentations.  If you need to ask a presenter to slow down politely raise your hand.  Hold questions until the end of each presentation.  Enjoy!!

Space travel in the future? How are we using Science knowledge and current technology to predict the future of space travel?

Write a 3-4 sentence reflection paragraph about the first semester that includes the following: Accomplishment from 1 st semester Area you would like to improve Anything you would like to do differently in class this semester.

Level 4 I CAN Research how we know the composition of stars or other objects even though we are observing them from great distances.

Level 3 Identify and compare characteristics of the electromagnetic spectrum such as wavelength, frequency, use, and hazards and recognize its application to an understanding of planetary images and satellite photographs.

Level 2  Explain the difference between wavelength and frequency in the Electromagnetic spectrum and how we use it to study space.

Level 1 With help I can describe how waves are electromagnetic waves are different from one another.
