Communication coordinator Laura Sadauskaitė Omnitel – there were talks and consultations with the managers and sells-agents, no success as they have very good labour contracts with good social guarantees. “Omnitel salonai” is the daughter Omnitel enterprise – the majority of the employees were working at other enterprises and after transfer they have considerably better working conditions and social guarantees and see no need to set up trade union “Lietuvos paštas” (Post) - high turnover of the members, 100 members decrease during the project

Coordinator Ramūnas Narbutas “YIT Kausta” – the trade union has been set up during the previous stage of the project, chairperson is elected the EWC representative, 50 new members during the present project, the reporting meeting took place, the Statute is perfected, the possibility is foreseen to have the members from the YIT sub-contractors, preparation for the collective bargaining agreement “YIT technika” employees working at the service of the separate facilities engineering systems, hard working conditions, duty shifts, they work individually, it is difficult to organise the meeting, no members

Industry coordinator Ramūnas Narbutas On 7 October in Kaunas the trade union was set up at the joint Lithuanian-Norwegian- Swedish enterprise JSC „Kitron“, ~100 members. The Electronics company employs about 400 workers. On the workers’ initiative there was the attempt made to set up the workers’ council but the administration is against..

Digest During the Project the LPSK received ~ 500 new members The results have been achieved after several years of systematic work, the project allowed to activate the work in the concrete sectors The hand-outs published during the project are used in other sectors The agitation at the new enterprises that started during the project will be continued and we hope to have the results in the future.
