Teaching Philosophy Planning and Preparation The Classroom Classroom Management Professionalism

Planning and Preparation Planning a lesson starts with creating goal or outcome for your curriculum. The goal needs to be supported by specific objectives and assessments. These objectives and assessments must be aligned with mandated state standards All the while keeping the student’s individual needs in constant focus. backback

The Classroom A great classroom environment starts the second you enter the classroom. The classroom should appear bright and colorful with pictures and enthusiastic mottos and quotes. Also the classroom should be print- rich. Student space should be equal and well thought out and mapped. The entire classroom spaces should be labeled. Procedures should be listed clearly for all to see. back back

Classroom Management Classroom management starts with respect. This respect flows around the classroom: teachers to students, students to teachers, and students to peers. Knowledge of and respect for classroom rules is very important. Students fully understand if they are disrespectful or don’t follow rules there is system to manage and punish students. back

Professionalism Professionalism starts by coming into school each and everyday prepared to teach, ready to get involved, and willing to bend over backward for your students. Professionalism implies not only respect for your students and classroom but respect for the entire faculty, students and administrators in your district. Professionalism extends past the regular hours in school. A professional seeks constant improvement through education, reading, and life-long activities. BIO END SHOWBIO END SHOW
