Progress to date Announcement in June 2011 Integration Approved Core work streams running Workforce Development Team first to integrate WDT mini work streams set up in December Implementation date 1 April 2012 Interim Team Structure

Mini Work Streams 8 Mini Work Streams –Accommodation and Resources –One Point of Access including IT and systems –Social Work Training – SCWDP Plan –Training Provision, including joint calendar –QCF and Vocational Training –Partnerships –Finance

Key Principles for change for the Social Care Partnership? One joint training calendar –with equal opportunities, delivered locally One joint Social Care Workforce Development Programme (SCWDP) –submission that includes the needs of both partnerships Pooled budgets –more training opportunities Co-ordinated approach to delivery of the SCWDP An emphasis on joint working towards –a more effective, economic, efficient and accessible service
