OSHA Training Institute2 Goal: To familiarize the participants with: The history of healthcare facility evacuations Regulations and legal issues Analysis and planning for possible evacuations Regional plans for evacuation Methods of safe egress

OSHA Training Institute3 Goal: To familiarize the participants with: Employee safety issues Command and control during evacuation events Methods to drill your staff through table top exercises Debriefing and evaluation of the exercise And, provide materials to conduct table top exercises at your facility

OSHA Training Institute4 Table Top Exercise We will conduct a table top exercise using the Hospital Incident Command Structure We will debrief after the drill, answer questions, perform evaluations and after- action reports We will provide the participants with the means to teach this course and conduct table top exercises at their home institutions
