LESSON NO. 11 When A Girl Becomes a Woman

Assignment No. 10 What is menstruation?

Science Concepts Menstruation comes from the Latin word “mensis” meaning month. Menstrual cycle involves the monthly changes in the female reproductive organ. Menstrual flow occurs when the egg is not fertilized by the sperm cell. Menstruation last for some 4 to 5 successive days once every 28-days cycle after the egg is released from the ovary. As long as female experiences menstruation, she can get pregnant. Menopausal Period is when a woman stops from having her monthly periods or menstruation.
