Point: A point is a location. A point has no size Point: A point is a location. A point has no size. It is the intersection of two lines. The intersection of the goal line and the sideline. The intersection of the sideline and the baseline.

Line: A line in undefined Line: A line in undefined. It is a series of points that extend in two directions without end. The foul ball line in baseball extends in both directions from home plate with no end. The line of your putt in golf is endless in both directions from the cup.

Plane: A plane is flat surface that has no thickness. It is undefined. The field that the Michigan Wolverines play on is a plane. A basketball court is a plane.

Line Segment: A line segment is a line that ends with two points. From sideline to sideline is a line segment. A face mask has many line segments.

Angle: An angle is formed by two rays with the same endpoint. The position of the ball to the goal in soccer is an angle. In the football end zone, the points where the goal posts meet one another create 90˚ angles.

Ray : A ray is part of a line consisting of one endpoint and all the points of the line on one side of the endpoint. The baseball foul ball post is a ray. It has an endpoint and all the other points are on the other side. A field goal post is a ray because it has an endpoint and all other points are on the other side of the end point.

Circle: A circle is the set of all points in a plane that are a given distance from a center. A golf ball is a circle. A basketball is circle.

Midpoint: A point that divides a segment into two congruent segments. Where the goalie, in soccer, does a goal kick. It is the midpoint between the two 18 yard box lines. The half court line of the basketball court is the midpoint of the basketball court.

Network: A network is a series of lines and points represented by a graph. Diagrams of football plays are a network. Diagrams of basketball plays are a network.

Polygon: A polygon is a closed plane figure with at least 3 sides. Home plate in baseball is a polygon. The pattern on a soccer is a polygon.
