Relationships are Central to the Gospel

The message of the Gospel is communicated through RELATIONSHIPS. 1 People come to CHURCH because of their friends. People come to CHRIST through their friends.

Healthy churches practice RELATIONAL EVANGELISM. 2

“Remember this: whoever turns a sinner away from his error will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” James 5:20 Two Parts to Reaching the Community for Christ My Part is to SEEK Lost People and SHARE the Good News. 1

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17 Two Parts to Reaching the Community for Christ God’s Part is to SAVE the Lost and GROW His Church. 2

11 God’s Mathematics 120 people prayed at Pentecost (Acts 1) 3000 came to Christ after Peter’s message (Acts 2) The Lord added to their number daily (Acts 2:47) The Church grew to 5000 men, not counting wives and children (Acts 4:4) The Church grew to many thousands of members (Acts 21:20)

God’s Mathematics “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
