Asimile is an expression which describes a person/thing as being similar to someone/something else. It is usually usually introduced by “like” or “as “as … as”. Similies

My neck is as stiff as a wooden door. I cannot move my neck. It hurts.

My hands are as cold as ice. My hands are very cold.

John walks as slow as a snail. John has a broken leg.

The lamp is as bright as the sun. I have a lamp on my desk.

My forehead is as hot as a stove. I have a fever.

My finger is as big as a chicken leg. I cut my finger. Mommy wrapped it for me.

My stomach sounds as loud as thunder. I am very hungry.
