R10 Excom Meet 2012 A brief report on Excom Colombo Darrel Chong Secretary 3-4 March 2012, Kolkata

R10 Excom Colombo, 8th Jan o What’s different in 2012? o More time was allocated (the entire morning) for Vice Chairs to with their committee members to brainstorm and finalize committee workplan o Talked less about the past, focused more on the future o All chairs were guided to develop their workplan following a focused approach. o Identify up to 3 projects. o What are the objectives? | How to measure? | What is the budget for each project? o Vice Chairs were encouraged to roll out new initiatives.

7.52am: For sure. The day started with yummy breakfast.

8.35am: Getting everyone together, and setting the tone for the full day meeting.

pm: Breakout discussion on workplan. (Membership Activities Committee)

pm: Breakout discussion on workplan. (Technical Activities Committee)

12.11pm: Responding to hunger…

12.39pm: Of course, everyone was happy, especially our ladies.

1-3pm: Back to the drawing table. Vice Chairs updated, and Committee Chairs put forward their work-plans

1-3pm: All workplan were presented following a standard format to ensure focus

1-3pm: Every workplan was reviewed and critiqued for improvement

3.40pm onwards: Touched topics such as advisory, financial, R10 Meet, New initiatives, etc.

5.10pm: Lawrence closed the meeting, and congratulated the Xtreme 2011 winners (top 10, global ranking)
