The delicate personality of Blanche  The reaction when she met Stanley  When passing through Stanley and his friends, she over emphasized her perfection.  Blanche cared others’ judgments a lot, but at the same time, she longed for others compliments.  Her over-delicate personality led to the tension between Stanley and her, and her artifice about her past destroys the love of Mitch.

The implications of Blanche’s habits  She smokes and drinks a lot  When wanting to light the cigarette, she always borrow the fire from men no matter she is familiar or not. Is this a trick to catch men’s attention?  She takes bath many times in the two- hour film, and this action implies that she can not endure or deal with the external world.

The diverse actings between the movie and the drama  In the drama, we can see Blanche has a more clear and obvious emotion reaction being presented, because the audience is far from the stage. However, in the movie, because the camera could be zoomed in to catch the subtle facial changes, so we can observe more exquisite and delicate Blanche’s expressions in her eyes, in which we can interpret her emotions well, too.
