Ivan III born Jan. 22 nd, 1440 and died Oct. 27 th, 1505.

He was said to live in Moscow but also went on many military expeditions.

Ivan the Great is known for making Moscow the center of Russia. Also most known for refusing tribute to the Mongols. He did this by going to “war” with the Mongols but in reality they both met at the Ugra river and then retreated. But the Russian were no longer demanded tribute to the Mongols again. Famous

Only son of Ivan the Great.

Ivan the Great was part of the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Ivan had 2 wives, the first one died.

Ivan III made an aristocratic form of government.
