Discovery and Name Do you know who realized we are on planet Earth? It was the astronomer Nicolas Copernicus. Do you know how Earth got it’s name? It got it’s name from the English/German word that simply means ground.

Measurements Order from the Sun 3rd Distance from the Sun Million mi Diameter7,917.5 mi Mass 5,973,600,000, 000,000,000,0 00,000 kg Temperature61°F Day Length24 hours Year Length365 days

Composition and Appearance The interior composition of earth has parts that make it up here are some parts. There is the inner core at the bottom, the fluid core near the middle, and the core floaters, which is also near the middle. Last but not least there is the lower mantle, upper mantle and the crust. Earth’s surface composition has many elements. These are the elements. Iron 5 %, sodium, magnesium, and potassium 2 %, oxygen 47 %, silicon 27 %,calcium 4%, and aluminum 8 %. Earth’s appearance includes landmarks like deserts, water bodies, volcanoes, and more that cover earth’s surface. Earth has many oceans and continents. Earth’s atmosphere is best described as 78 % nitrogen, 0.03% carbon dioxide,21 % oxygen, and 0.9 % argon.

Moons Earth’s moon is called The moon.

Exploration 5 Satillites that are from Earth are Hubble space Telescopes, that is an Astronomy type, LANDSAT 7, that is a imaging type, GPS IIR -11 is a globle positioning type,KH -13 is a spy type, NOAA 17 is a weather type.

Unique Facts Earth is unique. It i9s the only planet with life. It is the only planet with water and grass. It has animals, people, and buildings.
