This is the question asked of a large number of teachers and students from the 8 Cambridgeshire schools involved in the SUPER project

Fun, enjoyment. Good atmosphere means everyone involved. Talk a lot more I want the lesson to continue. Work isn’t too easy Pressure - like a coursework deadline Learning new skills. We help each other to learn. You have something to look forward to at the end. (A selection of) Students’ responses……. Humour We discuss things and come up with ideas in groups. I don’t daydream/space out or doodle!

Students face the front. They laugh at my jokes. Students are actively involved in practical work. Class is noisy Class is quiet Students compete to get the answer right They behave well. Positive body language, smiles, good behaviour. Students show insight and originality. Students can apply learning to another situation (A selection of) Teachers’ responses…… Students are willing to take risks. Students get satisfaction from the progress being made.
