What does it mean to be a part of Student Council? You care about the school You want to make school better You want to give back to your community and those in need You are a leader You want to help out You want to be involved

Important Dates Tuesday, October 20 th –Applications and Speeches due to Mrs. Hill or Mrs. Ellis. October 26 th -30 th Record Speeches Tuesday, November 3 rd -Election Day Wednesday, November 4 th - Monday, December 7 th -First Student Council Meeting

We also want to talk with students about ways to improve our school for everyone. This is where we need your help!! Projects

How Can I Join???? Remember, if you are interested in running for President, VP or Secretary, please see Mrs. Hill in 2 nd grade or Mrs. Ellis in 1 st grade. If you are interested in becoming a homeroom representative, please sign up with your homeroom teacher. HR elections and officer elections will be held Tuesday, November 3 rd.

Elections A 5th grader can be President, a 4 th Grader can be Vice President, and a 3 rd Grader may be Secretary We will also need 1 homeroom representative from each grade level in the school. K-5 If you are interested in running for office, you need to see Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Ellis to sign up and to receive the paperwork. If you are running for office, you have 1 week to prepare your speeches. We will hold elections on Tuesday, November 3.

Meetings Meetings will be held after school, the first Monday of each month. You will need to have someone pick you up from school on those days.
