INTRODUCTION  Nokia is a multinational company and is the first mobile phone manufacturer in the world.  Is one of the leading companies in the telecommunications sector.  Nokia is one of the most known brands inside and outside the European Union

History 1865 the engineer Fredrik Idestam establishes a forest industry company for the production of paper in Finland the company creates rubber processing factory "Finnish Rubber Works Ltd" in the town of Nokia founded the "Finnish Cable Works" dedicated to the manufacture of cables for the telegraph industry and production of phones. This company was acquired by Nokia after the end of World War II.

 1960 Electronic Department was created in the cable factory.  1963 Nokia produces a radiotelephone.  1965 first prototipe of telephone.  1970 Nokia develops a digital telephone switching.  1980 Nokia makes for NMT the first phone use in cars.  1989 Nokia acquire the cable company NKF.  2007 Nokia closes an agreement with visa. This year born NSN ( Nokia Siemens Network) alliance between Nokia and Siemens.  2009 Nokia is the lider in the mobile industry.  2011 Nokia close an alliance with Microsoft.

Nokia Values  Nokia values are:  Incorporating the value of customer satisfaction  Sharing, trust, the right mentality and work in formal and informal networks.  Passion for innovation  Nokia wants to be a very human company.

Products  Nokia comprises four business groups: Mobile telephony, multimedia, business solutions and networks.  Mobile telephony: provides the general public mobile products for voice and data over a wide range of devices.The Nokia E series terminal type is business- oriented smartphone with an emphasis on support for corporate .

 Multimedia: Nokia N-Gage is a mobile phone and handheld. Belongs to the series 60 and contains the operating system Symbian OS 6.1.

 Other products: Nokia 770 Internet Tablet : web device for wireless broadband networks based on Linux technology. It is the first Nokia product in a decade that is not related to mobile telephony.

 Software Nokia Pc Suite : is a software developed by the Finnish company Nokia to connect their mobile phones to the own computer. Its functions include backing up data, connect to the Internet, install applications, manage files and folders on the phone.

Figures  In 2011 Nokia has losses of 487 million euros but last year around this time the company had 295 million of benefits.  Nokia Siemens Network will lay off 17,000 employees worldwide, representing 23% of its workforce. The company aims to reduce current operating costs of 1,000 million euros every year before the end of 2013.
