Flexible/Roll Up Computers Researchers at the University of Illinois think that they have figured out a way to make stretchable, flexible LEDs that will make it possible to use them in never before seen types types of displays and configurations.

Robotics Robots will soon be everywhere, in our homes and at work, they will change the way we live. When this happens, robots will be indistinguishable from humans and some people may become Cyborgs, half man half robot. In the next two decades, robots will be able to replace humans in most manufacturing jobs. Because of Japan’s strength in this field, Japan may well become the economic leader in the next 20 years.

Smart Clothes Smart clothes are clothes that are made of fabric but have many sensors in them that check your vital signs every second. If any danger is detected, it will alert you so that you can get to a doctor or hospital if needed. If you get cold, it has a sensor that is solar powered to warm you back up. They also have a work jacket that will record meeting for you to listen to later. They also have clothes for night time that has a light. They have features that will always make you smell good, alert you when you drink more than average, and controls the temperature of your body so that you don’t sweat while you’re working out or dancing.

Future Technology in Cars Potential future cars include new energy sources and materials, which are being developed to make cars more energy efficient and less polluting. As gas prices are rising, the future of cars is leaning towards fuel efficiency. Hybrid vehicles are cars that use two or more power sources to move the vehicle, which combine internal combustion engine and one or more electric motors. Electric vehicles are cars that use one or more electric motors or traction motors for propulsion. Fuel cell vehicles are vehicles with a device that converts chemical energy from a fuel into electricity through a chemical reaction with oxygen or another oxidizing agent.

Future Technology in Agriculture Vertical Farming or sky farming is a theoretical form of agriculture which can be done in urban high-rises. Food such as vegetables, fruit, fish, and even live-stock can be raised by using greenhouse growing methods. Vertical farming has many advantages such as preventing deforestation. By producing food in the city there will be less pollution caused by transporting food from long distances.

Future Technology in Art This is called the Virtuo, the futuristic digital art for beginner artists. Virtuo comes with a charger, digital palette, five digital art device where all the work is based on electromagnetic mechanism, so no battery needed. Virtuo has the latest sensor technology for better communication through an interactive pen display and computer for translating gestures from the user, then convert into visual output.
