Identifying Places Use prepositional phrases to describe where places are. (ex. cerca de, a la izquierda, al lado de.) Rosa está cerca del taxi. Rosa is near the taxi. Use de when the preposition is followed by a specific location.

Choose Transportation There are many types of transportation such as, bus, car, on foot, boat, plane, taxi, train, motorcycle, and subway. In Spanish these are, autobús, carro, a pie, barco, avión, taxi, tren, moto, and metro.

Asking and Giving Directions When asking for directions use the phrase Perdone, ¿cómo llego a (location)? Use prepositional phrases and the verbs doblar, cruzar, and caminar to give directions.

Affirmative tú Commands Used with family and friends. Regular tú commands are the same as ella, usted, and él form of the present tense verb. When you use a tú command with a direct object pronoun attach the pronoun to the end of the command and add an accent to keep the original stress. (ex.Compra el libro. ¡Cómpralo!)
