 The step pyramids were the very first pyramids to ever be created in Egypt.  The Pharaoh Djoser was the first to ever be entombed in a Pyramid.

 The Khufu Pyramid stands to a height of 45 stories.  There are over 2,300,000 blocks of limestone making up the largest pyramid.

 Most of the interiors of pyramids have begun to crumble and slowly fade from their former glory.

 The workers on the pyramids were not in fact slaves, as many believed, but were workers still containing their own authority.  Large graves were built, even to the men who had a lower status.  Archeologists have found damage marks on the men's’ spines, indicating that they worked VERY hard.

 All pyramids in Giza were along the west of the Nile.  There are more than 80 pyramids in Egypt.  Inscriptions of spells were made to help the Pharaoh in the afterlife.  Each block on the Great Pyramids was estimated to weigh between 2 and 30 tons.
