Webquest: Softball Throwing Mechanics By: Kristen Chevalier

Task Partner up, numbering off by 2’s 10 feet away from partner, throw the softball back and forth using proper throwing mechanics Count how many consecutive successful catches are achieved

Activity Form lines of 4 students, 10 feet from target upon instruction 5 attempts to hit target with softball Go through line 3 times Team with the most hit targets wins!

Excel Activity Homework: As a team, add up how many successful target hits and attempts that were taken. Make a data table and graph on an Excel Worksheet as a group effort, using the information recorded on the data table.

Review Review the 6 steps for proper throwing technique… Demonstrate as a class the proper way to throw a softball.
