Why Blog?

Why do we blog?

E-Safety Individual log in and passwords-  Track each individual user  Track comments and usage of individual users ALL posts must be approved by Mrs Winter +Class teacher-  EVERY post, from other staff, children or parents MUST be approved by the class teacher or myself before it appears online  We can filter posts – and check for spam posts  We can track users trying to post inappropriate comments or negative comments and block access  We can view IP addresses to trace users who may be trying to use our blog inappropriately and contact the police.

E-Safety Restricted access for pupils Pupils are contributors- Edit own posts View comments made Write own posts (these must be checked and approved by admin) CANNOT UPLOAD MEDIA FILES.

How can we use our blog? The primary aims of the blog are-  To extend and challenge pupils learning  Provide an interactive learning platform  An extension of classroom and school learning

How can we use our blog? Grammar- use photos/games/pictures as prompts for children to utilise rainbow grammar work from class.

How can we use our blog? Begin a debate or discussion- give a key question can children respond? Can they use persuasive writing techniques?

How can we use our blog? Constraint writing challenges- can you challenge the children using photo/picture prompts to write using banned words or a word limit?
