Why do we need a new school? Existing educational facilities are not able to guarantee a sufficient number of qualified employees within a necessary short time. Existing schools do not have equipment, which could be used for preparing students for current up-to-date technologies. The existing school system is not able to adjust the educational content flexibly based on current scientific and technological development, including necessary language skills. In general, the direct connection between vocational and other specialized schools and related industry is missing, including active cooperation between schools and companies.

Days for students In 2006, the Kechnec Municipality organized two days for students which also included a tour of companies in the IP Kechnec More than 550 students from 7 vocational schools from KE attended those events After the visit, students were motivated – which proves that in order to attract young people for vocational schools, it is necessary to have a direct connection with the industry (in order to see the future in perspective) Management of schools could see gaps in the existing educational process which is not responding to current needs of companies In general, schools declared a lack of opportunities for a stint for students on up-to-date technologies during their studies

European Integrated School I./IV. Location – near the IP Kechnec Preparation of students according to needs of the companies from the park Education, using up to date technologies Education in English, German and eventually other languages - emphasis on language skills of students

European Integrated School II./IV. The school will include the following facilities: Multipurpose classrooms, laboratories for research, Pool with sauna, Kitchen with dining hall for 800 to 1000 boarders, Dormitory for students, Barrier-free access, Gym and other sporting facilities, Kindergarten, Library and computer room, Pediatrics department, Central parking – 30 parking lots.

European Integrated School IV./IV. Municipality investments until today: more than 19 mil. SKK The Municipality financed preparation of the complete project documentation for the innovative model of education in synergy with the industrial park (1.8 mil. SKK) The Municipality settled property rights related to land on which the school should be built (16 mil. SKK) The Municipality accomplished geological research and geodetic measurements (1,5 mil. SKK) Currently, the European Integrated School Project is before issuing the building permit
