Over 200 course selections for students Leveled classes 1 – 4 Competency based Weighted GPA for class rank SPED and ELL Demographics
Classes are aligned w/ NH Frameworks standards The knowledge we want the students to know! What is essential learning. Similar outcomes for similar classes – depth and scope may differ in levels but not the competencies Using rubrics to indicate acceptable performance ‘engaging scenarios’ = practical application of learning
The GPS method… Measuring student progress in a common method to insure equality in the grading process. Formative assessment – acquiring knowledge Summative assessments – measuring knowledge The ‘re-do’ or ‘second chance’ assessment process
