How to reduce your Carbon Footprint If you ask Ian Gates

Turn lights not being used off Using electricity emits CO2 into the atmosphere. The less electricity you use the less CO2 in the air you’re responsible for. Sure it’s easier to leave every light on like a trail of bread crumbs when you can see at night but you’ll find one light can shine a long way.

Unplug unused electronics Statistics show that 75% of power consumed by a home is standby power meaning it’s only used to keep electronics running. When your phone, lap-top, and/or iPod is done charging unplug the power supply until it’s needed again.

Save paper Pay bills online to save paper which saves trees which reduce carbon dioxide
