Job Outlook  Because websites can be built from anywhere in the world, some web developers jobs may be moved to countries w/ lower wages, lessoning U.S job growth. This practice could decline because of a growing trend of firms hiring workers in low-cost areas of the U.S instead of foreign countries  Their prospects should also be favorable  Those w/ more knowledge of programming tools and digital multimedia tools will have the best opportunities

Earnings  Web developers make between $61,250 and $99,250 in 2012 according to Robert Half Technology

Summary Slide Researching this job was very interesting. I like the pay it offers, but I’d rather have a job to where I’m happy doing what I do, not just because of the money I earn. Money doesn’t buy happiness. Although this job does seem fun and cool, I still want to accomplish on being a mental therapist when I grow up

Significant Points  A web developer’s job is to meet w/ their clients and decide what the site will be used for, including ecommerce, news or gaming, and what the site will look like  They work full time and get payed between $61,250 and $99,250  Preferred to have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming or a related field
