Geodetic Motions: InSAR and GPS InSAR 1) Non-tectonic motions are present but not like Los Angeles 2) Oil extraction subsidence is VERY localized GPS 1) ~N/S shortening 2) Contraction rates maximum across central Ventura basin 3) Contraction Decreases to both E&W

GPS Inversion For Strain GPS Inversion (4 Station Nearest Neighbor Interpolation) 1) Strain rates are localized across the Ventura Basin 2) Max strain: Central Ventura Basin

Slip Rates From Mechanical Models Geologic Slip Rate Ranges Mechanical Model Slip Rate Ranges BEM Forward Models (See Marshall et al JGR for method description) 1) Model slip rates generally agree with geologic rates 2) Anacapa Dume and Red Mtn faults are fastest, but GPS cannot observe localized strain offshore 3) CFM Geom of Ventura fault produces ~2.4 mm/yr.
